Tutorial: Electric Ombre

Ombre has been all the rage this summer, and I thought I would use it in today's tutorial, with a little twist. The colors are electric blues and greens, vibrant water colors. They remind me of the beach, rivers, teeming with sound and life!
This look requires you to work from the bottom up to layer intensity! The ombre look starts at the top as a dark color and fades to a lighter one. I have included a picture for each step, so don't worry. If you need to make a layer lighter, simply take a Q-tip or your finger and smudge the color out.
~

1. Start off with a clean eye. Spread Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original all over the lid and up to the brow. This allows for a totally clean slate!
2. Using a shadow brush or your finger, smudge a dark blue eyeshadow above your crease. Smudge it out. It should be smoky, and not harsh at all.
 3. Now apply a bright vibrant blue shadow right underneath where you started the dark blue down to slightly under the crease. This is the next layer. I used E.L.F. Studio Line Eyeshadow in Sea Blue.

 4. Very carefully, pat Sugarpill's Tipsy on the lid, from the lashline to right above where the electric blue started. Take a fluffy blush brush and swipe it gently over the layers to blend. The effect should look like the blue is fading down into a beautiful green.
5. Go back and add extra color to the areas that may have faded out a bit after blending, or just need more vibrancy. Line your eyes a gorgeous aqua with Urban Decay's 24/7 Liner Pencil in Electric.
